Highland Games

If you are fortunate enough to be around Deeside in the first week of September, then you must take in the Braemar Gathering and Highland Games. The games date back almost 1000 years, and the Royal Family have been in attendance each year since 1848. Events include Pipe Band competitions, Highland dancing, athletics, and much more.
